Introducing Amy: A Perfect Fit for Our Team

I have been wanting to expand my team for a while. Recently, I found the perfect addition to help enhance our dog training services. Amy will also be collaborating with me on behavior cases and assisting with rehabilitation training.

I am thrilled to announce that we will be offering training services, along with exciting courses and workshops in Brighton and the surrounding areas in 2026.

Amy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. She is calm, kind, and dedicated to her work.

Amy's Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Applied Animal Behavioural Science and Welfare - First Class

• Level 5 Behaviour Qualification with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT)

• Currently completing an ABTC-accredited Level 5 Behaviour Qualification

  
  

Amy's Bio: A Passion for Dog Training

"I ensure my work with dogs is grounded in up-to-date, evidence-based practice. I have two years of hands-on experience working in dog rescue and bring a practical, compassionate approach to training.

I help dogs feel safe, engaged, and ready to learn. At the same time, I support their caregivers to feel confident and enjoy the training process. I specialize in everyday training skills that make life with a dog easier and more enjoyable."

• Puppy Foundations: Establishing a strong base for your puppy's training.

• Recall: Teaching your dog to return when called.

• Loose Lead Walking: Enjoying walks without pulling.

• Using and Managing Long Lines: Ensuring safety while giving your dog freedom.

• House Training: Helping your dog learn where to go.

• Drop Cues: Teaching your dog to release items on command.

• Thoughtful Socialization: Ensuring your dog interacts positively with others.

  
  

I also love helping caregivers build new skills through targeting and shaping behaviors. Using clear markers and clicker training is especially useful for those wanting more in-depth training.

Support for Behavior Work

Where appropriate, I can support training alongside existing behavior work. This approach helps dogs progress smoothly and effectively.

My training is friendly, positive, and tailored to real life. I focus on building confidence, creating successful learning experiences, and strengthening the bond between dogs and their caregivers.
