Dog and Puppy Training

Dogs are great companions that can enable us to have active and social lifestyles. All dogs will need training to teach them how to navigate the world they inhabit with you. Using kind teaching strategies will help to solidify the learning and increase you bond with your puppy or dog.
We are delighted to introduce our Puppy Course, designed to be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home. Over a relaxed and supportive 4-week programme, we will help you create the best possible start with your new puppy.
What you will learn
Your puppy’s breed-specific needs and how these can influence their behaviour, as well as how puppies learn through motivation, bonding and positive strategies.
We will guide you through helping your puppy settle confidently into their new home, family and the wider world around them.
Our aim is to make this course informative and fun.
Each week also includes practical ideas for mental stimulation and enrichment activities to keep your puppy happy and engaged.
We will also help you get ahead of common challenges by covering ways to prevent behaviour problems, including separation-related behaviours, resource guarding, and mouthing or biting.
We cover all the essentials, including:
Walking nicely on the lead
Polite greeting behaviour
Teaching calm, settled behaviour
Coming back when called
Thoughtful and positive socialisation
Comfortable with handling for groomer and vet visits

Please do not hesitate to get in touch — we would love to help you and your puppy get off to a great start. If you would like this adapted to your older puppy or adult dog we can discuss your needs.
Amy can also help you with stand alone sessions or bundles to help your puppy or dog to feel safe, engaged, and ready to learn, while supporting you to feel confident and enjoy the training process. She specialises in the everyday training skills that make life with your dog easier and more enjoyable.
Training sessions are for dogs who need to learn how to navigate their environments and not for those with pre-existing behaviour problems.
