The perfect excuse to handle your dogs paws during the winter.

Make sure you wipe your dogs feet when coming back home after walking on gritted paths or roads. The 'rock salt' can cause dehydration if your dog licks it off their paws.

Try to keep cats safe from anti-freeze poisoning during the winter. Cats will drink it out of puddles as it tastes sweet but is lethal. Please get your cats checked if they show any signs of abnormal behaviour.

Remember to use a positive reward and introduce touch slowly so your dog gets used to being touch if they are not already ok with being handled.
